Earlier this week, I sent you an email about one of the worst launches I've ever had.

Since then, a bunch of you have reached out asking:

What happened?

What was the offer?

Why did it flop?

So I figured I’d break it down today.

There were three big reasons that the launch didn’t work out.

1. The Framing

The pre-launch was a free 5-day challenge on automating list building with Facebook ads.

But the offer on the backend?

An 8-week group coaching cohort focused on building a laid-back lifestyle business.

The challenge attracted people interested in quick-win list-building automation…

The offer required a bigger-picture mindset shift (plus a $2,000 investment).

So the bridge between the free content and the paid offer wasn’t strong enough.

2. The Pricing

This is an offer I’ve sold before - usually around the $1,000–$1,500 range.

This time, I bumped it to $2,000 and added a bunch of extra deliverables.

But instead of feeling more valuable, it started to feel bloated.

Like it was harder for people to understand what they were buying and why it was worth more.

More stuff = more bloat = buyer hesitancy

3. The Promise

Looking back, I couldn’t clearly articulate the outcome of the 8-week program.

People weren’t sure what they’d walk away with by the end.

And if they can't picture the finish line (and why it would be awesome), they keep their credit cards in their wallets.

The good news is: every time something bombs, I learn something new.

And these lessons around framing, pricing, and promise have been huge for me (and my clients).

Fixing my offer wasn't easy (but it was worth it).

Which is why I’m working on a workshop to help you tune up your offer soon.

(I'm still working on the registration page. Should be ready by Monday.)

For now, just wanted to share the behind-the-scenes.

Sometimes the most valuable insights come from the valleys, not the mountaintops.

Talk soon,

Cody
