2 years ago, in November 2022, ChatGPT made AI mainstream. A month later, I was fired from my marketing job and rejoined the entrepreneurial world. When I emerged from the 9-5 darkness, I rubbed my eyes, squinted, looked around at the marketing landscape, and didn't like what I saw. Within days, people began using AI to dehumanize their business. A robot to write your emails, ebooks, social posts, and webinars. An AI will write a video script, another AI will record the robotic voiceover, and yet another AI will create a creepy talking-head avatar video. Marketing and content became lifeless and uninteresting overnight. It lacked heart. So, I went in the other direction: storytelling. AI can't tell you what it felt like to hold my newborn son in my arms the first time, or how the gravel felt below my knee when I knelt to propose to my girlfriend, or how disappointed I was to lose that job. And as I'm thinking about next year and the trends in the online space, I'm doubling down on two specific areas. I call it: The double double-down. (1) I'm doubling down (again) on storytelling. In an overly automated, lifeless, soulless sea of mediocre content... Tell your stories. You'll stand out, make AI look silly, and build a more loyal following. (2) I'm doubling down on implementation. Information is commoditized. You're seconds away from knowing something. But you still have to implement it. That's why I'm going to host more implementation sessions and "build weeks." Instead of filling your head with more knowledge, we'll actually get something done. That's it. That's my plan. Thanks for being here. 2025 is going to be authentically awesome. Glad you're here. Talk tomorrow, ~ Cody "Tell More Stories" Burch P.S. Whenever you're ready, here are 3 more ways I can help you build a more laidback business next year:
