Here's the wrong way to launch something. Spend a month outlining the content of the thing you want to sell. Run a beta group through the content. Charge them nothing. Let that take another month. Hire a videographer to come into your home office. Pay him $3,500. Spend another month waiting to get the videos back. Create the course. Spend no time building an audience. Launch with a webinar to cold traffic. Convert zero people. Total time elapsed: 90 days Total revenue: -$3,500. Ego: crushed. This ^ was me in 2018. Instead... Build an audience first. Sell the thing second. Build it later. If it doesn't convert well, at least you didn't build it yet. The last ~20 programs I've launched have been with a Google Doc sales page and a big ol' "Coming Soon" banner when people log in. I don't hide the fact that it's not 100% built out yet. I'm tranparent. I'll even charge a bit less for the founding members, and I'll build it with them, live. You just need an audience, credibility, enthusiasm, and a vision for what you're creating. If it sells, build it. If it doesn't, you save time, money, and energy. Cool? Cool. You got this, ~ Cody P.S. What's the next thing you wanna launch? |
