How to make your offers more potent.

Published 28 days ago • 1 min read

I was chatting with some of my mastermind members this week about their offers.

Everyone wants their offers to convert better, right?

Well, here's the wrong way to go about creating an offer: start with the price.

Does this sound familiar?

"I'm ready to try high-ticket, so I'm gonna start offering the XYZ program for $2,500."

Or...

"I need one of those 'self-liquidating' offers, so I'm gonna start offering ABC program for $7."

This is a terrible way to create an offer.

Instead of starting with the price, start with the promise.

Ask yourself, "What outcome can I confidently create for the market I feel called to help?"

Once you're clear on the transformation you're creating, think about the most effective delivery method.

Is it 1:1 or group?

Is it live or pre-recorded?

Is it all together or asynchronous?

Stuff like that.

Then, and only then, are you allowed to print out a price sticker and slap it on your product.

The clearer you are on the outcomes you can create, the better your offers will convert.

And the more transformation you provide, the more you can charge.

Promise first.

Price later.

Not the other way around.

You got this,

A year ago today, I hosted my first live event after getting fired 6 months prior. I called it "List Build & Launch" and it was held at a boutique hotel here in Colorado Springs. But a few weeks before the event I almost canceled it. Why? I only had 14 people signed up. By the time the event kicked off, I was down to 12 people. I used to get really disappointed when I didn't have the numbers I wanted. Everyone wants more leads, sales, customers, webinar registrants, and event attendees,...

A few years back, I joined a YouTube coaching program. I learned the best day of the week to post your video... The optimal length of your video (including the frequency of "cuts")... The perfect lighting and framing of your video... ...The prescribed volume, cadence, and rhythm of posting on YouTube. And then... I did nothing. I got overwhelmed. I felt bad that my video was 7 minutes (too short, apparently) and not 12 minutes ("perfect", allegedly) I was embarrassed to have cuts happening...

When I first started my online business, I tried and failed to make my mark as a "funnel guy." I was like a Diet Coke Russell Brunson. A Kirkland Signature Ryan Deiss. A "Dr. Thunder" Dan Kennedy. I had a hard time differentiating myself in a crowded marketplace. I couldn't find a unique hook which meant I had to work harder than normal to get clients. Everything felt like a grind... It was like I was pushing a boulder up a hill. So when I returned online in Jan '23, I knew I had to find a...
