Last night, my wife and I ordered pizzas for the kids and headed out to dinner.

It was at one of our favorite restaurants here in Colorado Springs.

It's a nice spot - the kind where, when you make reservations online, it asks:

"What are you celebrating?"

Birthday? Anniversary? Promotion?

I left that question blank.

When we arrived, the host asked the same thing, "Are we celebrating anything special tonight?"

"Nope!" I said as we walked to our table. "Just a Thursday."

That felt... kind of amazing.

Because for a long time, date nights like this were few and far between.

Between raising our three boys and getting our businesses off the ground, dinner out was a big deal.

We'd pick the nicest restaurant we could justify, go during happy hour because it was cheaper, sit at the bar, order two waters, and split an entree.

We'd overthink the whole process because it might be months (or years) before we could afford to go back.

And we always asked the waiter to snap a photo of us at the table to mark the special occasion.

Now?

No pressure to choose the perfect restaurant.

No special occasion needed.

No photos taken.

No need to get the order "just right," because we can come back next week if we want to.

And the reason I'm sharing this is because this kind of shift (from pressure to ease) is exactly what happens when you've got an offer that really works.
