We experienced that tonight, first hand, in Florence.

I'm not a big drinker, but when we are in Italy, we do as the Italians do.

We're on day 3/5 of our trip to Florence with my parents, and tonight's adventure found us on a swanky rooftop bar overlooking the city.

On one side was the Duomo, a towering Renaissance-era Cathedral.

On the other side was the Arno River.

It was a small hotel bar on the 6th floor, and the sun was starting to set.

Honestly? It was like we were sitting in a postcard.

We all sipped drinks and snacked on almonds until it was time to leave for dinner.

Then the check came.

I missed a little detail on the price: €35 per drink. 😮

Earlier today I noticed a dollar store where you could get a drink for €0.99.

Many places will sell you a spritz for €7.

But €35???

I mean, it was tasty, but was it €35 tasty?

Then I remembered the saying above.

Some people will always pay more if you enhance their experience.

I could sip a dollar beer in an alleyway by myself...

Or enjoy a drink overlooking the river as the sun sets for 35x the price.

Remember this when you price out your next offer.
