I've been running Facebook Ads to grow my email list for years now.

I got serious in 2018 and have added tens of thousands of people to my world since then.

But things used to be much harder.

First, you had to figure out targeting (who should see your ads).

"I want people who own Macbooks, use iPhones, swipe Amex's, and spend their free time at SoulCycle. Oh! Also they're interested in international travel."

It took hours to get the targeting right, and days to get data back.

Then, you had to write a good ad.

"Yes question -> empathetic statement -> authority story -> CTA"

And finally, the picture.

Spend a few hours in Canva or hire a designer to make a graphic or three.

Then, split test and duplicate until you can't think straight while burning through your ad budget.

Now?

Facebook (Meta) does the targeting for you (and it's great).

I've trained a chatbot to write ads the way I do, so anyone can do it.

I use a few image prompts in ChatGPT or Gemini, and I have a great image.

What used to take days now takes minutes.

The results?

They're even better than before.

I just did a little digging and saw that my "Launch Maps" campaign has been running for about a year.

The first 6 months: I got new leads at $1.92 per lead. Not bad

The most recent 6 months? New leads at $1.66 per lead. Even better.

I've changed nothing. It's just...on. And working. And improving.

It's never been easier to get people onto your email list.

You just need a system and some shortcuts to make it easier.
