Deep Dive: Simple Scaling System

Money isn't everything.

Well, revenue isn't everything.

From 2017 to 2022, my business consistently generated approximately $ 250,000 in revenue.

The only problem was that I spent it all on hosting events, joining masterminds, and business travel.

On paper, the business looked great, but I had very little profit to show for it.

Even worse, I had zero free time.

I'd travel to an event to get clients, then come home and fulfill those client projects.

Round and round I went until I landed a job with one of my coaching clients in 2022.

When that client fired me six months later, I was gifted with a second chance at entrepreneurship.

A chance to do things right.

But I had a few problems to fix if I wanted to scale my business simply.

  1. Traffic - where my leads came from
  2. Offers - easy to buy, sell, and fulfill
  3. Email - a stable, money-making engine

FIXING MY OFFERS

Call it what you want: Funnels. Money models. Offers.

You know what I mean.

In 2023, I had to find the right offers that would be easy to sell, easy to fulfill, and high-profit.

My first win came with VIP Days. Good ol' "time-for-money."

VIP Days were great because I could charge $1,500 - $3,000 and knock out a huge project for you.

No long-term retainers. No overhead costs.

If I sold 5 VIP Days in a month, that meant $15,000 in revenue and 25 extra days to plan my next moves.

All of a sudden, I had plenty of free time and plenty of profit.

My second win came in the form of a coaching cohort.

I sold 30 people an 8-week cohort (think course + community + coaching) for $1,000.

I wound down VIP days because my time became much more valuable.

More free time. More profit.

My third (and fourth) wins came with a group coaching program and a membership.

These provided the sweetest thing in online marketing: recurring revenue.

No more months starting at zero.

FIXING MY EMAILS

Once the offers were dialed in (from January to March 2023, I primarily sold VIP Days), I turned the ad machine back on.

My list grew daily.

Every time I made a new offer, I made it to more people.

The flywheel continued to churn out more revenue and more profit.

I realized that there are only two types of emails to send: story emails and promo emails.

Story emails keep the reader engaged by becoming a character in their inbox. They open, click, and reply.

Promo emails (which sometimes contain a story) have a specific goal in mind of getting the reader to take an action.

This simple realization was a huge breakthrough for me.

Every single daily email was either a story email or a promo email...

And it went to more people every day.

FIXING MY TRAFFIC

I'm terrible at organic content.

I hate social media.

And I'm too introverted to make networking work.

So, I turned on my ads machine:

  1. Lead Ads to grow my list
  2. Engagement Ads to grow my audience
  3. Sales ads to...make sales

That way, I only had to create a minimal amount of content, then use the power of ads to get it in front of more people.

I got off the content hamster wheel.

I spent more nights in my own bed (less travel).

And my audience grew...

Which meant my offers were seen by more people...

And delivered by the most powerful medium available: email.

SIMPLE SCALING SYSTEM

This is the Simple Scaling System.

This is what we do in my Coaching Program.

Email is the Heartbeat.

Ads are the Fuel.

Funnels are the Path.

ADS (The Fuel):

  1. First, we set up an "Automated List-Building Machine" that grows your list on autopilot without any effort
  2. Then, we set up an "Authority Engine" that introduces you to more people in your desired audience.
  3. Next, we set up your "Sales System" ads, which fund your ad spend.

This means our audience, authority, and list are growing 24/7.

EMAILS (THE HEARTBEAT):

  1. First, we create a "Story Engine" for your emails so your message is engaging, natural, and compelling.
  2. Then, we set up a "Segmentation Strategy" so everyone gets the right message at the right time.
  3. Next, we create a "Promo Plan" to convert new subscribers into buyers.

An email list is the most valuable business asset you can own. This is how to make it work.

FUNNELS (THE PATH):

  1. First, we establish a "Campaign Cadence" so you can get into a promotional rhythm.
  2. Then, we create an "Ascension Path" so buyers naturally flow into your other offers.
  3. Next, we install a "Continuity Creator" so we raise the revenue floor month after month.

This means no more scrambling for sales.

When all three of these pillars are built strong and stable, you can't lose.

You don't need to go to networking events.

You don't need to document your life on social media.

You don't need to reinvent the wheel.

It's possible to scale simply.

More revenue. More profit. More free time.
