Welcome to Issue #37

"Inbox Insider" is my Sunday newsletter sharing the behind-the-scenes of what I'm doing to grow my email list to 100,000.

I share what works, what doesn't, and how I'm growing.

Thanks for reading.

Let's dive in:

By The Numbers:

My Email List

  • Total Subscribers: 14,3434 (last week: 14,465)

Deep Dive: Showing > Teaching

I had a really good idea.

I'm no stranger to good ideas...

But this is a good one.

I'm 3 weeks into teaching my 8-week "Growth Engine Accelerator" Cohort, and it's going awesome.

I mean, look at the engagement in the Skool group:

For the uninitiated, here's how I'm delivering The Accelerator:

  1. It's a course with short videos (most are 3-5 mins)
  2. There's a companion workbook with GPT prompts
  3. We do a weekly office hours Q&A
  4. I post a daily Telegram audio coaching message

It's a Course + Coaching + Calendar (8 Weeks) + Cody.

I love delivering it.

People love going through it.

It's my favorite model of delivery.

About that good idea 💡:

In The Accelerator, I'm helping them fill their back-end offer (what I call an "Anchor Offer") with a short, paid workshop (what I call a "Bankshot Offer").

Super specific, binary promise.

Either they host a workshop or they don't.

This is my go-to method for filling up memberships, coaching, and even DFY work.

And...it's exactly how I filled this cohort with 15 humans.

As I was putting together the training modules, I got an idea.

I can teach you how to do it...

Which would be great.

I'm a great teacher.

Or...

I could show you how to do it.

🤯

I checked my calendar, and I have a spot open for this upcoming Thursday.

I went into the archives of my training and decided to teach my favorite topic: Storytelling.

The last time I taught Storytelling was in person in Colorado Springs.

I'm taking the best bits of that 2.5-day event and teaching it in a 90-minute workshop.

You can register here if you wanna come.

  • I set the whole funnel up like I want them to set it up
  • I recorded the whole process and added it to the course portal
  • I created a 100% discount coupon so they could buy it and see the full experience
  • And I'm documenting the whole promo process

No matter how good a teacher you are...

People will always learn more by doing it with you.

Think about it.

You can watch a cooking video on YouTube, or you could take a cooking class with a pro.

They'd demo the dish, then help you cook it.

⬆️ Understanding

⬆️ Joy

⬆️ Implementation

So, when you can...

Show. Don't teach.

Thanks for reading.
