People raise their eyebrows in shock when I tell them I don't have a team. No VA. No copywriter. No personal assistant. I've tried it before. Didn't like it. Don't do it anymore. Just me. Lean, simple, and profitable. And it's not that I'm productive... Meaning, I don't have 10,000 weekly tasks and efficiently complete them. Instead, I've eliminated all non-essential parts of my business. I've automated 90% of what's left. I flee complexity. I embrace simplicity. I've built my three core programs without flashing lights, doo-dads, trinkets, and gifts. Instead? I focus on getting results. That way, people stay in my programs because it's working for them, not because I shower them with gifts. This means I have vanishingly small amounts of inbound emails. I was out of town last week, and here's what has happened so far in the ol' inbox (which I manage myself):
I'm like if the book "Essentialism" turned into a person. My recommendation: don't build up a Castle of Complexity that needs a team to operate. Stay light, lean, and profitable for as long as you can. There's no pride in managing a hectic schedule and a huge team. Take pride in a clear calendar, short to-do list, and a lean laid back business. It's possible. You got this, ~ Cody P.S. One of the ways I stay light and lean is by using software that works. I am always on the hunt for something that saves me time, stress, and energy. My favorite software is Skool - it manages hundreds of members in my different communities and it's so easy. Payment processing, email, engagement, native video, member management... It's all there. The best part? They just rolled out a new "Hobby Plan" that starts at just $9/mo with all the cool features. Here's my affiliate link to check it out. |
