Then, my wife took him to FedEx to print nice-looking copies before finally driving to the actual physical locations and asking for a manager, where he'll hand-deliver his application. Will it work? No idea. But will he stand out? You bet. Worst case scenario: he brings a smile to an overworked, underpaid grocery store manager or movie theater operator. Standing out in a crowded market is key for us, too. Most people don’t even try. They hit “publish,” “post,” or “send” and hope it works. But what if you went the extra step? What if you personalized the pitch, crafted your message, printed it on nice paper (figuratively speaking), and hand-delivered it? You might not always “get the job.” But you will be remembered.
