Hi! My name is Cody Burch

Yes, I even do this on vacation.

I have some odd travel habits.

  1. I unpack all my bags right when I get to the hotel
  2. I iron any dress shirts that got wrinkled in my luggage
  3. I head to the gym and fill up my water bottles

Kinda weird. I know.

But those are my personal travel oddities.

I also have some business habits.

My Daily Telegrams

Every day, I record a 3-4 minute audio for members of my flagship program, The Laidback Business Accelerator. I share a short story and lesson to keep them on track as they progress through the program.

I also send a separate daily Telegram to members of my Laidback Membership. These are more business-focused and help them grow a more laid-back online business.

My Daily Email

Yes, I send a daily email.

Yes, even on my birthday.

Yes, even on Christmas.

Yes, even on vacation (we're on day 4/12 of our Italy trip; today, we took a train from Rome to Florence).

No, I don't take days off and no, I'm not sad about it.

And no, my wife doesn't mind.

A daily email for 2.5 years mostly made this trip possible.

Here's why I love it and don't take days off:

A daily message to my members keeps me grounded and connected to my most important customers.

The daily email builds a lasting connection with you.

So I don't have to sit back and decide, "Is today the day I help people make progress with their business?"

If it's a day, I do it.

Birthday, holiday, weekday...

Every day.

I find ~10 minutes a day for my Daily Telegrams, and about 7-12 minutes for the daily email.

Easy.

Every day is a good day to help people make progress.

No matter where you are in the world.

No matter what the date on the calendar says.

Keep showing up.

The consistency pays off.

You got this,

~ Cody "First Email From Florence" Burch

A year ago today, I hosted my first live event after getting fired 6 months prior. I called it "List Build & Launch" and it was held at a boutique hotel here in Colorado Springs. But a few weeks before the event I almost canceled it. Why? I only had 14 people signed up. By the time the event kicked off, I was down to 12 people. I used to get really disappointed when I didn't have the numbers I wanted. Everyone wants more leads, sales, customers, webinar registrants, and event attendees,...

A few years back, I joined a YouTube coaching program. I learned the best day of the week to post your video... The optimal length of your video (including the frequency of "cuts")... The perfect lighting and framing of your video... ...The prescribed volume, cadence, and rhythm of posting on YouTube. And then... I did nothing. I got overwhelmed. I felt bad that my video was 7 minutes (too short, apparently) and not 12 minutes ("perfect", allegedly) I was embarrassed to have cuts happening...

When I first started my online business, I tried and failed to make my mark as a "funnel guy." I was like a Diet Coke Russell Brunson. A Kirkland Signature Ryan Deiss. A "Dr. Thunder" Dan Kennedy. I had a hard time differentiating myself in a crowded marketplace. I couldn't find a unique hook which meant I had to work harder than normal to get clients. Everything felt like a grind... It was like I was pushing a boulder up a hill. So when I returned online in Jan '23, I knew I had to find a...
