A few years ago, I was fighting with the unemployment office between sending daily emails.

Why?

In December 2022, I was abruptly fired from my marketing director job after only a few months.

I panicked and filed for unemployment as a safety net for me and my family.

There were 2 problems:

One - the amount I qualified for was $452 a week and wouldn't even cover my mortgage.

Two - there was fraud on my account, and they couldn't pay out for months.

So, I rolled up my sleeves, opened SamCart, and wrote a sales page for a new workshop on email marketing.

I called it "Better Email Than Average," and I shared my email strategies for the first time.

45 people bought the workshop, and 25 took the order bump (a 55.6% take rate).

$1,623 in up-front sales.

Not bad... but not enough to support my family (who prefer three meals a day and a roof over their heads).

But...

At the end of the workshop, I told people I was available to help them implement what they had just learned.

$2K per email campaign.

Someone bought 1.

Someone else bought 2.

I'll never forget how it felt to get those payment notifications.

Relief. Pride. Hope.

I was back.

Now, a few years later, this is my go-to method to sell anything.

I never sell directly.

Instead...

I create an easy-to-buy, short, specific, paid workshop...

Then invite people into my next level of support.

I've used this method to sell VIP Days, Coaching, and Memberships.
