On Sunday, I'm taking the boys on our first ski trip of the year, and I just checked the snow reports. I don't follow the weather much, but I know one thing about Colorado snow: What falls at the top determines what flows everywhere else the rest of the year. I've gone rafting in Pagosa Springs in April. I've gone fishing in Deckers in June. And I've hiked every waterfall within an hour's drive of my house.
